Gynecology and obstetrics department of Green life Medical college organized a program on world menopause month 2019 on 23rd October at Prof.Dr. Ahasanullah Gallary 15th floor of hospital premises by the sponsorship of Health Care Pharmaceuticals Professor Joy Sree Roy, head of the department of Gynecology and obstetrics has given her best effort to make the program a successful one .Dr. Lima shompa, Associate Professor presented a very informative, nice power point presentation on menopause, its effect, and an overview of its management. National Professor and chaiman of Green Life Medical College Dr.Shahla Khatun madam was the chief guest of the program and she is also the founder president of Bangladesh Menopause Society which was formed in 2005 but she took initiative from 1998 and finally her dream to form the organization came true in 2005. At first there were so many challenges but as our life expectancy has reached to a level of 72 to 73 years now a days so the topic menopause is very much pertinent. The aims of the society is to create awareness among the elderly women of the country about pre- and post-menopause complications and provide treatment for them.Ex-Vice Chancellor of Banga Bandhu SheikhMujinb Medical University Professor.Dr. Pran Gopal Datta, Prof Zamanul Islam Bhuiyan, Principal of Green Life Medical college medical college Prof. MA Azhar shared their important opinion regarding menopause and with a huge number of audience in the gallery the program ended successfully with a nice photo session as the dress code was decided to be red saree for women and red shirt for men and it was a colorful program indeed.
